Sweet Summer Time

It's "technically" summer in Texas...as far as the date goes.  It's been getting hot for a while! Some of our best friends recently bought a house with a beautiful pool! We have already tried it out...Adam is still skeptical about this whole big body of water concept.  He is definitelynot into your holding him, but will tolerate hanging out in his float?  I thought it would be the other way around, but whatever works for little man is good for me!

Pantry Makeover

So it was time to admit that I had not cleaned out my pantry since my son was born!!  That's 11 months of mass chaos going on in my pantry! I woke up last Thursday and was determined to fix the pantry! I started pulling things out, and started having Pinterest flashbacks.  I had seen several pantry pics, and decided if I was going to clean out, I was going all the way! That ended with my husband taking me to Lowes for paint. 

**Side Note - I have NEVER picked a paint color in our house without at least 3 months dwelling to make sure it's what I want!! 

I walked up to the paint samples, glanced around and grabbed the one that was most appealing, took it to the counter and had a gallon whipped up!  The only way that makes sense in my head to describe the color is a "sea foam blue". 

I repainted all the sheleves and painted the walls.  The pics don't do it justice! While it was a pain to cut in in between every shelf and I will never do it again, I love the way it turned out!  It's all one color, the shadows of the shelf are misleading.   Please, no judging on the Before pic!

Bring On The Heat

I know...the first official day of Summer is not until June 21st, but let's face it...we live in Texas.  Summer can be anytime from March-October depending on the year.  I bought Adam a small splash pool at Babies R Us.  It's perfect for a little play time to relieve the heat.   He loves being outside (much to my dismay) and as it warms up I know water is going to be must! I look forward to starting some Pinterest water activities this summer!!

 Of course Piper had to get in on the water action!
