5K Runner...ok, it's just an app.

Today I started re-started an app I use called 5K runner.

It's a great app that slowly builds your running ability.  Let's face it...at this point I have no running ability! I've had this app for awhile, and was using it before I got pregnant (Oct. 2012).  After finding out I was pregnant I stopped using it.  I was worried with the stress of teaching, adding physical demands to my body would  not be good...Maybe it was an excuse, but I was a very paranoid pregnant lady! Now, 7 months post C-section, I am feeling frustrations with my body I've never had before.  I'm finding a huge lack of motivation, energy, and purpose when it comes to taking care of myself! Don't get me wrong, I've never been the healthiest person, but I feel like I have hit an all time low! I'm hoping by putting my journey out here it will help me find inspiration, motivation, and accountability!

So here's to day 1!

Let's get this party started!

So...bare with me here as I figure this world of blogging out!

This is something I've wanted to do for awhile, but have consistently (and regrettably) been putting it off. I'm a 27 year old Stay at Home mom that lives in a world of everything semi-homemade.  I love to cook, but please don't think anything is made from scratch! I love to craft, but give me a can of spray paint any day over actually painting something.  I don't sew my own clothes, but may add a little detail to spruce up a plain shirt...get my drift? Semi-homemade.

I have an amazing husband [Aaron] that I've been with for almost 7 years, married for 3.25ish. He is a police officer.  Life as a shift work wife has it's benefits and sacrifices for sure. Saturday night dates and sleeping in an empty bed sometimes is traded for random days off in the middle of the week to catch a matinee or having him at every dr. appointment when I was pregnant.  None the less, I am so proud and thankful for the admirable career the hubs has chosen.

I became a first time mama over 7 months ago.  It by far has been the most challenging, frustrating, stressful, exhausting, most AMAZING experience.  My little baby boy is growing like a weed.  He was born on 7-11 and oddly enough weighed 7-11 We often joke about having his first birthday at 7-11 or renting a Slurpee machine.  He was born 21'". His daddy is 6'2" and his uncle Ben is 6'6"...the boy is going to be tall. When people ask how old he is, no matter the age, we often get "he's huge"...He's just a tall baby.  :)   I'm sure my sunshine, punky, little guy will engulf a majority of my post.  Being a mama has just been the most amazing experience.

There is my family, now a little more about me.
-I have a degree in Elementary Education, and was a 4th grade teacher before I decided to be a stay at home mom.  While I love the classroom, being a teacher is beyond harder and more time consuming than anyone can imagine unless you do it yourself! I have such a high respect for working mamas!
-I am pretty shy in the beginning...but once I know you it's all good. I'm VERY sarcastic.  One liners are my specialty, and I think because I'm introverted in the beginning it sometimes shocks people. I also often use phrases incorrectly.  I say them like I hear them, not necessarily exactly as they are...It drives my sister crazy.  I'm sure you will get to experience at some time or another reading my blog!
-I own my own business.  Love & Print.  While 95% of my time is dedicated to being wife and mommy, I have to create.  I am a right brained thinking, no doubt!  I design digital images; invitations, home décor and sell them on Etsy.  By no means am I make a ton of money, but that's not what it's about for me.  I get to make things and make people happy, and the side money helps support my constant desire to decorate our house!

I guess that is a good start. Look forward to growing this new adventure of blogging!
